Plouffe said the poll numbers showing Kamala ahead were reporting leading numbers for Kamala that he and the Kamala camp did not see and could not agree with. The fact that those in Kamala's camp kept repeating the erroneous numbers suggested they were lying against what they knew otherwise to be the truth.

“We didn’t get the breaks we needed on Election Day,” he said. “I think it surprised people, because there was these public polls that came out in late September, early October, showing us with leads that we never saw.”

On thing that no poll can know for sure.
A person might say they prefer someone over that guy, but there's no evidence that person voted and no way if knowing.

Use the last election as an example. Harris never got anywhere near what was expected by the polls. Trumps numbers increased a bit, Harris lost 14 million who never voted this time, for whatever reason.
That proves the polls had no idea.
