GenSeneca expressed a uniting point of view when it comes to believers and non-believers. Jefferson's observation that the religious beliefs of his neighbors were irrelevant to him as long as those beliefs didn't pick his pocket or break his arm was a wise one. GenSeneca's explanation of "atheist" and "anti-theist" is also insightful, though I wasn't familiar with the distinction he described. It is the character and behavior of human beings that count in life, not their religion or lack thereof.
As I would not attack all atheists simply for their lack of belief, I'm offended by those non-believers who attack all believers simply because of their religion. Unfortunately, there are "some" here who hate others solely because they believe of do not believe. Such persons are at the very least "short-sighted", and often are outright "bigoted". Reading this and similar threads it doesn't take long to recognize which posters fit which category!
To the question above, that being "Why should Christians have a monopoly on preaching the gospel", I'd refer the questioner to the standard definition of "gospel". "Gospel" spefically refers to the first four books of the New Testament. Preaching the New Testament (Gospels) is a monopoly of Christians because the gospels are solely Christian texts. Why do Muslims have a monopoly on preaching the Koran? Anti-theists wishing to continually attack Christianity should have SOME understanding of the subject matter!
