why do people who dont believe question god anyway?????

Werbung:
I don't understand you pie in the sky but I'm not afraid of you

And yet again you post a piece of spoilt-child insult bullshit attempting to achieve the moral high ground with its sanctimonious tone

But as usual it does not address the point

Your religion does not allow for free will which makes everything God's fault

I actually don't know why you have a problem accepting this (apart from your lack of free will preventing you)

After all you can brush aside god drowning all those babies for nothing and still worship him

So why worry if all the other bad shit is his doing too?

God loves making people suffer

He made hell to burn people who think for themselves

So maybe you should embrace the ludicrousness of your religion

If you can understand that

I never said you were afraid of me I said you were afraid of what you ddon't understand. If you don't understand me then you may or may not be afraid, but if you cannot comprehend something then you are afraid of the outcome and what it swill do to you.

Can you read?

I don't understand you so by your reasoning I should be afraid of you but I'm not

If god existed I would be afraid of him because he is a murdering bastard

 he isn't a murder he is god almighty maker of heaven and earth, and he sees all and he will judge us one day and I hope that when that day comes you will admit to all your ugly doings as the troll you are.
You are scared of the uncoprehensible princciples that make up life, but at the same time you are an idiot for daming yourself with foul words of hatred and malice.
I don't think your Grammy would be proud of you right now, she won't be making you any cookies this Christmas if she heard about this.?o_O

People Question God because part of Him is unknown to reason. Also he make demands on us. I wish you all a Happy Christmas.

You dont have to be smart to find god, but I do believe malice and hatred live in the hearts of the nonbelievers.(y)
I've been away for quite some time but I see people still don't grasp the difference between Atheists and Anti-Theists... :(

Hello Diamonds! I'm an Athiest, I simply don't believe in God... Just like I don't believe in ghosts, goblins, witches, magic, or anything else that's super-natural. I'm sure there's something super-natural that you also do not believe in... For the sake of example, lets say you don't believe in witches and witchcraft. Could anything change your mind and cause you to suddenly believe that witches and witchcraft did exist? Could you be peer-pressured into lying to yourself, or others, about having a belief in their existence?

To paraphrse one of our founders... It makes no difference to me what you choose to believe, so long as you don't use those beliefs as an excuse to pick my pocket or break my arm. If your belief in God brings any level of joy and happiness to your life, then kudos to you! I'm happy for you. I have no such belief and pretending that I do would bring me no joy or happiness... Lying to myself, and others, about such a thing would only make my life miserable.

Those who choose to attack your belief in religion or God are Anti-Theists... They are to the Atheist community what the Southboro Baptists are to the Christian community. So if you don't think it would be fair for all Christians to be lumped in with the SB church followers, I ask that you not lump all Atheists in with the "malice and hatred" filled Anti-Theists.

Good post

Except you overlook the fact that religion is not just a benign form of lunacy

It is a vicious blight on humanity that seeks to divide society

It always sticks its massive beak into lawmaking and government policy

It seeks to promote ignorance over science and it fills children's heads with the belief that superstition trumps science

It is behind many wars, burnings, torturing and even now in countries like Uganda they are seeking to punish homosexuality with death because of a few mad words in a book of fiction

So I am both atheist and anti theist

Why should Christians have a monopoly on preaching the gospel?

GenSeneca expressed a uniting point of view when it comes to believers and non-believers. Jefferson's observation that the religious beliefs of his neighbors were irrelevant to him as long as those beliefs didn't pick his pocket or break his arm was a wise one. GenSeneca's explanation of "atheist" and "anti-theist" is also insightful, though I wasn't familiar with the distinction he described. It is the character and behavior of human beings that count in life, not their religion or lack thereof.

As I would not attack all atheists simply for their lack of belief, I'm offended by those non-believers who attack all believers simply because of their religion. Unfortunately, there are "some" here who hate others solely because they believe of do not believe. Such persons are at the very least "short-sighted", and often are outright "bigoted". Reading this and similar threads it doesn't take long to recognize which posters fit which category!

To the question above, that being "Why should Christians have a monopoly on preaching the gospel", I'd refer the questioner to the standard definition of "gospel". "Gospel" spefically refers to the first four books of the New Testament. Preaching the New Testament (Gospels) is a monopoly of Christians because the gospels are solely Christian texts. Why do Muslims have a monopoly on preaching the Koran? Anti-theists wishing to continually attack Christianity should have SOME understanding of the subject matter!

I do understand the distinction between atheist and anti-theist, I have plenty of friends who are atheist and I never hear a peep out of them about my religion being stupid.
Obviously dawk-know it all here is an anti-theist because he continues to hate.
There is a difference between hating and questioning and he clearly wasn't questioning

Your argument should be against allowing government to have such power, specifically it's ability to legally use coercion against the population. Remove that power and the religious boogeymen you fear would no longer be able to legally force their religious will upon you.

However, I don't believe you disagree with government having the power to coerce, you'd be all for using that power against the theists. Would you have any objection to using the force of government to pick the pockets and break the arms of people with whom you disagree spiritually? How about politically?

So called "Liberalism" is, to me, a blight on humanity, seeking to divide society, sticking it's massive beak into lawmaking and government policy, etc. etc. For others they may see "Conservatism" the same way. Whether it's a religious or political philosophy, it should never be used as an excuse to violate the rights of individuals. Any government that can legally violate the rights of it's citizens is not a government for, of, and by the people - It's a vicious weapon that will only be used against them.
