Do you think that had the colonies not revolted, the King would have prevented the movement westward? The colonists and the Brits had every intention of colonizing the western territories...(deleted - personal insult) So tell me again how the American Revolution was fought over territory, when both antagonists in the war had the same intentions for that territory?

First, you're mixing up the revolutionary war, which was against the British for independence, with the various wars against the native Americans, which was for territory.
Second, can you imagine what North America would look like were it still divided up among hundreds of different tribes, most of them living in the stone age? You can decry the "genocide" against natives all you want, but without manifest destiny, there would have been no United States, only a collection of tribes living in poverty.
Third, it was not so much wars that killed off the natives, but diseases for which they had no immunity. Would you have had the Europeans stay in Europe in order not to spread measles and etc.?
and last, would you really have modern Americans feel guilty about events of the past they had no part in?

Won't they all be surprised when the dollar falls to nothing, jobs do not exist at all anymore--nor will they return, and their biggest concern will be enough to eat or they will die. Let alone a roof over their head and any sort of comfort they have become used to--and think they are ENTITLED to.
