The Night They Dumbed Our Country Down

I have given you a list then you told me that I was not very open minded so I asked you to give me one reason to vote for him and you ignored the thread after that.

I am a conservative, what on earth could I see in someone like obama? Though I admit I probably hate John Freaking Kerry (who served in Vietnam) more and I probably dislike AlGore more also and neither of them are black.

And yet, you have stated in the past that you were a registered Democrat. . .am I mistaken?

Re: Tax the Rich!

Mostly poor non white women who are registered as democrats want to spread the wealth

Crazy! I am a poor non white female who is a registered democrat and I think it's very wrong.

With such a history of hating so many Democratic presidential candidates, and being so conservative, why on earth would you remain a "registered democrat?

And I don't remember you given me a list why you "loath" Obama. . .
I have my own reason to vote for President Obama. . .and I often talk about them, including his pragmatism, his intelligence, his social conscience, and the vision he has for America.
I also really liked Hillary. . .in fact, she was my first choice during the Democratic primary in 2008. And I still think she would have made a good President also. But after I read Obama's books, the interest and curiosity he had already triggered in me turned into respect, liking, and he got my support.

Does that answer your question?

Well I never had a question; you are the one who was asking

I have talked about why I am a democrat a number of times

But I’ll do it again

Oregon is a vote by mail state. Democrats have red envelopes, republicans have blue and independents have purple. The 3 years I was a registered republican I would get a note in the mail about 4-6 weeks after the election saying my vote did not count because my signature did not match ( you have to sign the back of your colored envelope) and those envelopes are evaluated by volunteers (mostly democrats). All the years I was a democrat I never got such a letter and once I changed parties back to being a democrat I never had my vote not count again.

That is why I am a registered democrat. I have met a number of other people; one was pretty high profile who had the same issues as me. So it’s not isolated. And the fix is easy, just stay a democrat.

Though, I do like some democrats. My all-time favorite politician is Harold Ford Jr. Democrat Tenn.

I would vote that man president any day of the week

Shouldn't you go and change your party affiliation before the GOP primaries?

It may be different in Oregon, but in South Carolina, if you are a registered Democrat, you can't vote (in the primaries) for Republican candidates, and vice versa.

I wont vote in the republican primary. I still am hoping Hillary challenges obama and Ill vote for her.

She won't run against Obama, but I hope she will run in 2016! She'll be a little old, but not as old as McCain was anyway.

I think she deserves to be the first female President.

Welcome to the HOP

Thanks for the instruction there.

You have a very nice voice and a way with words. I liked the song but do not agree with pretty much any of it.

If you sang those very same words about obama instead of Cain, you my dear newbie would be called a racist. Lucky for you that you said what you did about a republican, you can always get away with that :)

By the way, welcome to the HOP

well I've been around a lot of political discussions. Now granted, most of those who hate Obama are not racists. However, if you don't believe that at least a strong fiber of the depth of the hatred for him isn't due to the not that small percentage of actual racists there are in America, you're in denial. This argument crops up a lot because many of the Repubs on forums read that racist angle as a blanket statement directed at them. More often than not from what I've seen, when the accuser speaks in general about racism, he or she isn't saying the whole party is racist, but rather, that there's racism when it comes to Obama that is always present as a factor in the big picture. It may be just 6 or 8 percent of those who loathe Obama but that's still more than enough.

Oh I know there are racists out there. Jack Mertha said his district was full of them and they all voted for Hillary :)

And I know there are racists in the Republican Party, but I do not believe there are any more than in the democrat party. And I do not believe that racism is the reason why the majority of people who do not like obama feel the way they do.

I still like your song though even though it bashes Cain who I like very much.

You are so funny. You just did what you accused Gen and Dog of doing. You are twisting my words.

You replied to something I said to pocket. I never said I loathed him for his drug use, I said it was out there from the beginning, because obama himself wrote about it in his book.

You really are every thing you accuse others of

amen to that

the reason he earned his loathing is that this entire debacle of a presidency was predictable and, in fact, predicted.

So true. We conservatives knew if he implemented his well known socialist beliefs, he would fail. And, he has failed by any objective analysis. Because socialism ALWAYS fails.

His bigger problem is his radical left wing ideology prevents him from doing the right thing. So, down with the ship he goes. I just hope he takes the hateful and intolerant ideology known as LIBERALISM with him.

predicated by his political beliefs. but your knee jerk response is equally predictable. you realize that by your reasoning I would loath Herman Cain as well don't you ? I don't

Cain is a Uncle Tom type of Black man. He says and does anything his Masters" the Koch brothers want him to say anddo, but they won't let him be elected anyway.

He is just there to try to bring in Black votes, then hand them over to whomever the KOch brothers will pick as "strawman.". But it will be a White man willing to do their bidding!

Face it, there isn't one current GOP candidate that is really electable.
