No, you are wrong. China has around 1,121,000,000 people, and there are 56 ethnic groups besides the majority Han Chinese group. Thanks for those pictures--the real things are always more interesting to me.
China--is a world unto to it's own.
A homogenous people--a big advantage.
They have a history of a controlled population.
That--is the big danger they pose to the world.
They are a totalitarian society--and they believe in it.
Mostly--out of necessity.
They know how to live under an astringent society.
Freedom--in general--will diminish as the world become over-crowded--like China is (to some extent--resource-wise).
Europe stands to lose the most,
America, Australia--could subsist without any other help forever.
Europe--cannot--without the Russians (Eurasians, I suppose one might say). It is also too populous.
That's why I think Russia is in the best position of all.
If--they are careful.
That is 107,690,000 people.
297 different languages are spoken in China. Mandarin is taught in schools, but 955,000,000 people speak something other than Mandarin, the language spoken in Beijing.
Chinese writing is not phonetic and does not depend on any spoken language.
If you have a nation of 1,121,000,000 people, then regardless of the political system, each individual can only have a very, very tiny amount of political power. I think the Chinese know a LOT MORE about their own country than you and I ever will.
Russia has always been very poorly governed and is people have never had much say about how resources are allocated.
The population of Russia is shrinking... every day there are fewer Russians, and the longevity is declining and has been for some time, alcoholism is a major problem.
