Lithium has been used with few complications for decades (no more then lead batteries). It is when the manufacturer takes short cuts that problems occur.

"Giga" as in gigabyte. Meaning big I would suppose.

And yes, there is enough to go around as long as China does not gain control like they did of the rare earth metals.
