Did the Justice Department Violate Its Own Rules by Shutting Down AMBER Alert Website?
The Department of Justice may have violated their own shutdown contingency plan by taking the AMBER Alert website offline, an official DOJ document outlining their plans during a government shutdown reveals.
The official contingency plan, issued by the department on September 30, lists five categories of services the DOJ would continue operating if “faced with a lapse in appropriations.”
One of those categories, No. 5, appears to imply the AMBER Alert program would remain untouched, since it’s tasked with business that concern issues of life and death, Townhall.com first reported. AMBER Alerts are emergency broadcasts pushed out to alert the public about children that have been abducted.

I think the USA should be more scare on what this event will do to the country. Already the Absence of the US president at the Bali conference has let the Chinese President to dominate. He will tour SE Asia now gaining support in the most vital part of the world at the expense of Obalma who was force to abandon his trip due to the crisis in parliament.

Immigration Reform Rally on ‘Closed’ National Mall OK’d by Park Service
The Park Service will reportedly allow a pro-immigration reform rally to occur on the National Mall even though the site is technically closed due to the partial government shutdown.
Organizers for the event, titled “Camino Americano: March for Immigration Reform,” set up a stage and equipment for the Tuesday rally as the public was kept out. A spokesperson for the event told the Washington Examiner that the Park Service has granted them permission to utilize the site.
“The President and his administration have a history of picking and choosing which laws they want to obey and this is no different,” Dane told TheBlaze. “Americans who fought for freedom are denied access to the WW II memorial while those who violate our laws are rewarded.”

Burklow said the dogs, which pay visits to patients in the hospital, including children with cancer, have to seen by veterinarians, and a “team” on staff made the decision to suspend program.

LOS ANGELES – Funding for clinical cancer trials and other life-saving research under the National Institutes of Health was cut off in response to the government slimdown, but it looks like the cookie monster will still be knee-deep in chocolate chips (or is it carrots now?)

, the administration dished out $445 million to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) on the first day of the slimdown, which means funds for the likes of PBS Newshour, NPR and “Sesame Street” are being spent before cancer research.

Social Security Warns Benefits Could Get Cut
The Social Security Administration has begun warning the public it cannot guarantee full benefit payments if the debt ceiling isn’t increased.
When asked by the public, the agency is notifying beneficiaries that “Unlike a federal shutdown which has no impact on the payment of Social Security benefits, failure to raise the debt ceiling puts Social Security benefits at risk,” according to a person familiar with the agency directive.
