There is an investigation of sorts under way to determine if the plaque as ever been altered. I am waiting in the results before making a definite opinion on this one.

I do find it hard to believe Lincoln would have been listed as a democrat in 1905. We will have to wait and see.

The reference, however silly it seems, is that he championed democracy. And that would be in keeping with how most of the public sees him.

I could careless if it is changed. Illinois is a communist state and I would not expect anything different. I am merely pointing out what appears to be once again the communist rewriting history.

Some parents in Dupo, Ill. are not happy that a biography of President Barack Obama is required reading for fourth-graders. They say the book contains a host of controversial elements, not least of which is that it casts white Americans who disagree with Obama’s politics as racist.
Fourth-grade students at Bluffview Elementary School were instructed that they would be tested and graded on the book’s contents, reports EAGnews.org.
