The issue is whether the Republicans will go for the same sh** (to use your term) that they did the last time around, i.e. deficit spending, fiscal irresponsibility, promising that tax cuts will bring in more money (voodoo economics), starting foreign wars and fighting them on our collective credit card.

You and Rick seem to think that the Rs will be different this time around. Personally, I don't think Lucy is ever going to let Charlie Brown kick the football, nor are the Republicans or Democrats going to change.

I am not now, nor have I ever been, a pothead. The posts I've made on the subject have been crystal clear: You can smoke whatever you like as far as I'm concerned, so long as you do it outside and downwind. I want no part of smoking anything.

The issue is not whether the Rs will govern differently from the Ds. The issue is whether the Rs will govern differently from the Rs. I say they won't, and, once they get back into power, they will do the same things that they did the last time they were in power.
