In reply to MAMAB I think kids are going to be fascinated by the genitals and different looking genitals ion the same way that they are fascinated by anyon or anything else that looks slightly different to them.
TV, Hollywood etc may suggest things to kids, but I have taken my kids to the movies and the (unexpected) sex scene in a PG movie which was obviously pretty tame, went right over their head. But they still are fascinated by each other's bodies when in the bath together etc. I like to think of it as natural curiosity and it makes broaching some of the trickier parent/child talks a little easier to raise without making them feel awkward.
As far as having school teachers teach my kids about sex - some would be fine, but there are others who I really would not want speaking to them about it.
