Solution to the illegal alien invasion

I take it this means you still cannot or will not answer my question about where the Federal Government gets the authority to create such a database...

Like most of your questions, that one is fatuous. The government maintains thousands of databases on people - eg medicare, income tax, criminal record, drivers lincenses, real estate owned, military records, school records etc etc etc.

This is the solution

Do it like Israel does it. And when mexicans touch that fence it alerts US Border Patrol and they have to go though that barbed wire by then they will be caught and sent back to mexico.

Now extend your mockup for 2000 miles on the mexican border. It would cost too much and be ineffective - people would come in through the even longer canadian border. Then build it across the 4000 mile canadian border for a total of 6000 miles, and people would land on our ocean coasts. What's that - 15,000 miles? The wall idea, even with high tech stuff, is essentially an anachronistic, super-expensive and completely unnecessary solution.

So you argument amounts to "because the government does it, they have the authority."

Seems like an odd argument coming from a self-professed limited government person... you might want to rethink your political viewpoints.

If they both want to come here for the same reason but one does it legally and the other illegally, then clearly their reason for wanting to come to the US is not the actual cause of illegal immigration.

Your illogic is stunning. :p You reach your absurd conclusion by subtracting out part of the reasons for each set. The legal immigrants, while here to improve their economic lot, show by their legal behavior that they intend to follow the law and become normal citizens: pay taxes (not collect untaxed black market payoffs) pay for their medical care (not loot and bankrupt the ERs) obey the law (not end up as 25% of California's prison population) etc etc.

An NID would would not change that, it would not make them want to stand in line and wait 5 yrs etc...

:D It's not intended to make them stand in line 5 years - it's intended to make them starve or go home - which it would accomplish.

All that money you point to that is lost as a result of illegal immigration would still be lost under an NID program because the "solution" doesn't actually solve any of the problems.

Another one of your "you're wrong because you're wrong" non-arguments.
