During the heady years of the Clinton governorship a Clinton associate named Dan Lassiter told of being approached by men claiming to be with the CIA who were running drugs from Mexico into Mena, Arkansas, and those men attempted to hire him to work for the CIA as a hit man to kill someone south of the border. He ended up declining the offer but did read just days later that the targeted victim had been assassinated.

I don't believe the CIA was involved in crimes committed by crooks like LBJ or Bill Clinton, but I do believe men posing as or acting in the capacity as government agents committed heinous crimes for the politicians who gave them their orders and covered for them as they moved through assignments pretending to be working for the government.
