The legally recognized entity is the palestinian authority. Hamas does not recognize the palestinian authority. In fact, the palestinian authority needs to 'negotiate' with hamas. However, this was not to be. The Arabs wanted all of the land. They wanted the Israeli's gone, and this is their position today.

If the Palestinians were truely interested in getting back their land it would not be Israel they would be attacking. It would be Jordan.

Historically statistics never said that Jews owned 25% of the land, they were minority . However, Arabs never tried to hurt Jews since Islam orders muslims to live peacefully with all people , especially Jews and Christians . But Arabs started to attack jews after the british promise in 1917 of giving the land to the jews to make a state. Arabs discovered the evil plan , and they had to defend their lands , and that's what they did and will always do . Also, they attacked Jews and English soldiers as reactions to Jewish massacres committed against the Palestinians .
