The Bush-"Legacy"

I've sent warnings to new members about Shaman, with instructions on how to use the ignore list.
I'm not surprised.....

"Stressed by war and long overseas tours, U.S. soldiers killed themselves last year at the highest rate on record, the toll rising for a fourth straight year and even surpassing the suicide rate among comparable civilians. Army leaders said they were doing everything they could think of to curb the deaths and appealed for more mental health professionals to join and help out.

At least 128 soldiers committed suicide in 2008, the Army said Thursday. And the final count is likely to be even higher because 15 more suspicious deaths are still being investigated."

Geeeeeeeeeeeee......I thought Lil' Dumbya's legacy was so important, to you folks!!

Huh? Why did you think that? Republicans in general do not go back and try and inflate the "legacy" of prior presidents. The last generally good president we've had would be Reagan. That doesn't mean I sugar coat the things he did that I didn't agree with, but that doesn't change that he defended freedom, defeated the soviet union, or presented a good role model for the American people.

As for Bush, he's barely half a Reagan, and Clinton didn't even come in at a small fraction, or Carter who rules the roost of incompetence.

But no, I'm not half as concerned about Bush's "legacy" as I am about Overspend-Obama's dismal showing thus far. I'm just hoping Bailout-Barack doesn't screw everything up half as much as his plans indicate he will.

Geeeeeeeeeeeee......I thought Lil' Dumbya's legacy was so important, to you folks!!

What Shaman (and many others) fail to understand is that a large majority of Republicans did not like Bush. Most thought his spending was out of control. What is pathetic is now that Obama wants to spend, Democrats tell Republicans tough because they supported it under Bush. In fact most Republicans did not support it under Bush in the first place.

Remember all this talk of Bush with a 20% (give or take) approval rating? Guess what that means? Many Republicans did not support him.

Any problem in the world you do not blame on people who earn money?
Whatta great choice-of-words....."earn money"....as-opposed-to WORKING-for-money!

"In the middle of a recession, such headlines stir up populist outrage and illustrate a fundamental disconnect between Main Street and Wall Street. Unlike working stiffs who toil for a regular paycheck -- and that's it -- top-ranking executives at big companies get the bulk of their compensation from a complex suite of bonuses. For instance, in 2007, Exxon Mobil chief executive Rex W. Tillerson received $16.7 million in total compensation. But Tillerson's salary was only $1.8 million; most of the rest came from bonuses and awards."

Whew!!

Flip-flopping lemmings!

Better have your resumes current, when the Circus comes-to-town!!!

You'll be guaranteed full-time-employment!!!

I am not sure if you noticed, but low approval ratings for Bush was not a new phenomenon.

When Bush's rating was touching 90%, does that mean all those Democrats who flopped are now "lemmings" as you call them?
