And if no one is registered as a Dem or Rep who would they run? I realize this in only a fantasy.....but if enough people did it, wouldn't they have to re-evaluate our election process?

yes, yes it would. I hate primaries, massive waste of money. Let party leadership select their standard bearers. then they live and die on their decisions.

Doesn't the Independent party grow every year? I hear that people registering for the D's & R's is down, while many have unregistered and went Independent.
