I have tried to explain that exact point to so many Obama supporters who are absolutely adamant that Obama has actually won the nomination. You can tell them that the superdelegates have to vote to make it official, you can explain what "presumptive" nominee means in detail. You can explain the momentum Hillary had at the end was reflective of a newer pro-Hillary trend in voters who had time to finally examine the real facts of an Obama nomination. You can explain The Obama Trap in detail, illuminate all the ways the GOP has used scandals in the past to bury their opponents at a critical hour..

None of it gets through. It's like they stand there with their fingers in their ears going "la la la la la la I can't hear you la la la la la la..."

And they think this substitutes for the facts of the matter. :cool:

Some of them will even admit that Obama might not (read: most likely won't) win, that Hillary would be more unifying and would most likely win in spades. Then they'll go on and say it doesn't matter because Obama's candidacy is "historical", that he is black, and based just on those two factors we should go to certain defeat.

Now I see why the right lambastes the left so harshly. They are as looney as the neocons. You know the old saying: you hate most those you most resemble.

By the way red lettering is usually used for quotes from Messiah's like Jesus or Obama. The rest of the time it is just annoying
 
Well, you have to forgive TopGun's psuedo-support of Obama. His/her stance is so weak that red coloring and lots of !!!! exclamation points are his/her only hope of getting noticed.

TopGun routinely skirts around the Sinclair issue hoping it will go away. Even with The Conservative Voice setting the stage for the GOP's official stance on Sinclair's veracity...TopGun still has fingers-in-the-ears and is living in "la la" land.

Either that or TopGun knows an Obama nomination will result in a McCain win..;)

But yeah, the red is just annoying and counterproductive to TopGun's ultimate goal: the defeat of the democrats in November..
 
Top Gun- They're right about the red. It's hard to read and for that reason many will probably skip over it. You have a good message but I seldom read your posts myself becasue of the 'red' you have chosen.

"Can the GOP make it seem like Obama really had gay sex and smoked crack in a Limo?"

That's the more compelling issue....Right TopGun? Just ask The Conservative Voice.

I'm skirting the Sinclair "non-issue"???:confused: I've been skirting your Sinclair polygraph failing now retracted lie about as much as nuking Nagasaki was skirting dropping a bomb!:D

The simple fact is you're a liar if you promote lies but that's all you can do because you have no real argument. The fact is Senator Obama will be up against John McCain in November.

Let's call this a bet for maximum board credability... there's only like 3 weeks. You'll be embarrassed and backtracking and whining about how unfair it is and that will be that.:)

The thing that slays me is you obviously know nothing about politics. You're soooo hurt that Hillary lost that you can't see the main point of the matter.

HILLARY CLINTON DOES NOT WANT TO RUN FOR PRESIDENT NOW... because she's not stupid and particularly not politically stupid.

After all this time... after officially endorsing Senator Obama... after the Democratic Party itself is in line with Senator Obama... do ya think she really thinks in any way that she could win if it was some weird procedural vote that gave it to her? She knows it would be a DEATH NAIL! A miracle if she pulled even 3 or 4% of the Black vote after a stunt like that. Talk about boycott!

And Democrats cannot win without large ethnic numbers.

(sidebar: Just to be clear it will never get to that because the numbers aren't at all there for her getting the nomination in any way anyway. In fact Hillary has far less delegates than at the end of the primary because of the already major switch over to Senator Obama)

So Hillary knows she now loses to John McCain big even if she were the nominee because she completely alienates about 25% of her base and turns them into hostile "anybody but Clinton" fanatics!

So It's Senator Obama or John McCain. Those are just the only two viable choices that can be in play with a mathematical shot. I'm choosing Senator Obama. You'll have to choose either him or John McCain and you'll know that without question in less than three weeks.

On the "RED" issue...

I don't do that for anyone else, I do that for me. I find when posting and skimming multiple forums it makes it easier "for me" to find my posts to know who to respond to. I work a full time job and have a life... anything that speeds me up on posting I'll take it. I might go to dark blue here sometime down the road.

The fact is Limbag, Beck, Savage, O'Reilly, Buchanan, Hannity... I could go on ALL wanted the Republican nominee to run against Hillary should tell a reasonable person something... nuff said.;)

On the Edwards situation the difference is glaringly obvious... he had an affair... Sinclair never even met Senator Obama. I'd say that's kinda different... but maybe that's just me.:D

Or, do you mean that they took a molehill issue and made a mountain out of it? That would be a good point. Edwards is, after all, just a private citizen currently, isn't he?

Imagine if there were as much fuss made over every man who cheated on his wife.

I didnt always read your post too, unless they were directed to me because red is hard to read in large doses.
