Israel is building settlements on land in the West Bank that should be part of Palestine, that is true. The US has also condemned this.

The original Iran deal was about money sent in advance to the US by Iran to pay for aircraft ordered by the Shah's government. The terms were simple: send the planes or return the money.

I don't see how defeating Israel would benefit Iran much. Iran wants no part of Israel, Israel wants no part of Iran.
The Ayatollah of Iran blames Israel for sanctions. It uses Israel as a scapegoat to justify the poor economic situation of Iranians.

Neither side can win this.
