Session length

    The typical session length for a forum is 3600 seconds, or one hour. I've noticed that unless I check "remember me" (not something I want to do on this shared computer), I get logged out after about 300 seconds, or five minutes. It is most annoying.

    ah, crap. I keep getting logged out again. Ah, well. I just went ahead and selected "remember me". It's not like anyone in this house even knows this site exists except me. :D

    These values are proven standards with vBulletin but you already have found a solution, I see :)
    And after your HouseOfPolitics session you can click on "LogOut"...
