I guess mind blowing doesn't do it justice. How.... I mean......how do people get so far down that rabbit hole? Are they taken aside and physically have their brains re-wired?

Imagine your parents, all your freinds, your school and evryone around you from birth told you it was true...
Now be told that people will try to fool you with information to make you no belive, but they are evil and sinners. Tools of Evil and if you resist them you will get perfect glory and evrything will be great.
Now your told your better then others...you will be saved they will not...
Now some of these same adults get into the public school system and start trying to prevent science of Evolution and other things from class...Or pretend that the bible is a Scientific book and needs to be given equal wait...

Now someone breaks that bubble and tells you about Evolution and how the bible does not hold up historically with science, and everything you believe it not true.... you lay out all the evidence you can....and maybe a few see it,,,but most see....Just like my mama and the pasture said they would do, ....I am the one who knows the truth.
and they ignore it and go back to evryone telling them they did good,

that's the cycle for many , especially in the rural south
And its great for Politicians, they run like hell on it. Plus you can do anything you want so long as you say your pro life, and your now better then the liberal running against you. That was literately all Trump needed to say to get evangelicals to dry hump him. They ignored that he is pretty much a horrible person, has no morals, married and cheats all the time...knows nothing about the bible.....

here is is starting to die , slowly, but that just makes them more nuts. Christians make up about 85% of All Americans, they hold almost evry house and senate seat , every president ever ( Trump would say he is, and shows all the lack of knowledge of what that means as talked about already) ...But he Evangelicals think they are being persecuted and are a minority still....its really mind boggling. But as they say, when you have always been given special treatment, being held as equal feels like persecution.

Evangelicals in this country don't know what persecution is.. Name calling by goofy liberals, Who cares really?
Gay marriage, they can call it anything they won't, doesn't CHANGE A THING. Don't forget Obama had both houses once..

When was Earth formed? When did man appear? Does the Bible contradict science in answering these questions? Not really..

I don't have to search for evidence God does not exist...I happen to find zero evidence that he does. If you have no evidence something exists you start with that baseline, and you don't say well there is no evidence this is true, but I will just believe it until I prove it does not. I use to believe, but that fell away when I questioned it and could find nothing to say it was true. Also I never said it can't be true, It may be true. But the idea that something maybe true, but has no evidence to suggest it is, means I go under...it is not until I find such proof. It may be True that Mohammad was a Profit of God as well...I don't find any proof of that, but nor do you....yet I hardly would bet you say well maybe he was....How many Religions do you Admit may be true and yours not?

I started to question religion at 7 years old. How could a kind loving god send so many people to purgatory, or Hell for not believing in Christ, when they could never of heard of him? Something wasn't right here.
The more I learned, the more I questioned. Religion is behind most wars. During WWII, for instance both sides in Europe believed in and prayed to the same god. Where was this kind, loving god then?
A while back, the packed Supreme Court handed down a ruling overturning a 50 year ruling taking away a woman's Right for an often life saving medical procedure.
Giving it to the states is a misdirection. Medical decisions are not the purview of Right-wing religious fundamentalists, with an agenda, depending on which state you live in.
Women have Rights. Now there are a Hodge-podge of state laws classifying woman as basically live stock by controlling her reproductive organs for her. There needs to be a Federal statute making abortion uniform across the whole country, aka, Row vs Wade.
Abortion is not as cut and dried in real life as the 'pro-birth and forget'em' people maintain. Not all pregnancies are normal. Lots can go wrong and it happens more often than people think. Without proper treatment, women can and do die.
For the Jews in the Bible, life began at birth. They had means of abortion back then also. But today, the Christian Bible is used to deny women life saving medical treatment. Something is wrong here too.

The damage religion has done to society and the world over centuries is disgraceful. Yet until people realise their mortality, stop relying on superstitions and get some facts, its unlikely to stop. Honestly in America the vast population of godbotherers are of very low iq and therein lies the root of the problem.

In regard to the abortion thing, the recent roe decision was driven entirely by religion. SC judges sacrificed the duty to the country for their hideous belief there's a god. Surely their intelligence must be questioned also.

All the jesus junkies got a catastrophic signal from their sky day that this must be pursued to the bitter end. In fact they weren't doing gods work. It was the hatred of atheism and democrats which drove them.

But these are the same people who care for a foetus from conception through until birth them suddenly they lose all interest about the welfare of that child. Not a monthly check on the kids welfare to check the success of their principles. Nothing. But they might picket young unmarried mothers for not having a job and an infant they didn't want in the first place. Yes but that is their right when you think your doing the lords work.

Conception is the miraculous( according to them but I never thought so) event that the sixe of a fertilized egg can fit on the top of a pin head with 30 of its buddies.
Thats what they are fighting over. That to them is a human life. The woman's body rejects them regularly without even knowing but I'm sure if the godbotherers knew when it happened they would continue gods work and rake through the sewers to recover their precious little souls. That is a given.

But there's circumstances which lead to unwanted pregnancies. One is no contraception. The believers never imagine their little pubescent daughters would come home with unwanted load.
She wouldn't would she? We never mentioned sex. How could it happen.
If they had of mentioned contraception and stuff her pockets with condoms, it wouldn't have happened. But being religious, those evil tools of the devil are not mentioned.

Then of course when reality dawns and the embarrassment becomes over bearing, they access the abortion clinics through the huge sewer outlets attempting to go unnoticed by their peers. To do what??? Exactly what they have railed against all their lives.

It doesn't end there either. The guilt becomes so great they rush off to church and pray for forgiveness to some supernatural ghost while simultaneously mum is rattling with contraceptives to avoid a pregnancy. The hypocrisy is breathtaking.
