On behalf of the intelligent side of America, we’d like to thank the George W. Bush supporters. Not just the 9% of you that still admit to supporting him, but all the rest of you that supported him faithfully for the past eight years. We appreciate your support quite a lot.
Once you realized that George W. Bush was a total incompetent, a wader that got shoved in the deep end, your support immediately firmed up rock solid. We appreciate that. We’re quite happy that instead of propping him up, helping him avoid his mistakes, you invested all your energy and efforts in rationalizing, justifying and excusing away his missteps. As blunders turned into disasters, and disasters piled on top of themselves, you were tireless in issuing excuses. We’re grateful that you allowed him to attain his legacy as America’s worst president.
We owe you a great deal of gratitude in helping to weaken your political party so severely that only second-tier candidates entered the presidential race. One by one you eliminated them, not by rallying to one over the other, but by ruling out those you simply couldn’t stand. When the primaries ended, you wound up with a tired, old man with a bad comb-over as your candidate. A candidate so weak he's barely tolerated by his own party and got there by being the least offensive. We appreciate that.
Now as we approach the final leg of the general election campaign, it appears all your support, your tireless rationalizing, justifying and excusing is paying off. It was a great strategy, and we admire you for faithfully following it. Your efforts are going to return the White House to the Democrats, and quite a few new Senate and Congressional seats as a bonus.
On behalf of the middle class, minorities, college students, young children, senior citizens, our troops, women, and the world community… you have our heartfelt thanks.
Kudos! Job well done.
