This is a time of trial for the American people. Are we going to succumb to our base human instincts which characterize earlier civilizations, or are we a nation who holds ourselves to a set of higher principles? Killing OBL was an act of revenge killing pure and simple. As good as it makes us feel inside to finally get the bastard, the whole operation flies in the face of both US and international law.

In war you can't shoot an unarmed, defenseless enemy. By extending your idea that we are at war against all fundamentalists Muslims then we can shoot anyone who arbitrarily fits into that category. Where does that leave our fundamental belief in a rule of law? What separates our highly civilized nation from Iran, or al Qaeda, that murders with impunity?

Assuming bin Laden did not resist arrest, the proper action for a civilized nation would have been to capture him and given him his rights as a prisoner of war under the Geneva Convention. By simply executing him the way we did makes the United States no better than the the terrorists that we abhor.

When are the American media and people going to realize what BO did was wrong and completely at odds with his and our nation's stated policy? BO has really messed this up.

As you stated earlier, this incompetent administration could easily have claimed OBL was armed and firing on the SEALS. A lie such as this would have been believed. And, killing him in that case would have been justified. But due to their arrogance or ignorance or both, they claim he was unarmed. Hence, this was a cold blooded execution which Americans should condemn.

It goes against our values...funny how BO talks of shared values when speaking of ending torture, Gitmo, interrogations, black sites, etc...but then executes OBL. The hypocrisy of this killing is over the top...and yet very little mention of it in the media...its CRAZY!!!

Sorry, I don't buy into this "the United States is above killing our enemies in an inhumane way" crap. The information from Osama's computers and papers that were recovered by our awesome Navy SEALS have revealed that Osama was still very actively involved in terrorist training, terrorist plots, and other terrorist operations. I guess Osama didn't get the memo that he was retired or not a viable threat anymore?

I don't like Barack Obama, either. I believe he is leading this country down an economic path that will lead to catastrophic hardship for tens of millions of people, and his complete disregard for the sovereignty of our borders is seditious at best, and treasonous at worst.

But, like it or not, Obama did the right thing, no matter what his personal reasons were, by sending in our finest military personnel and letting them kill the most dangerous terrorist in our lifetime.

When our country fights fire with fire, the end result is always victory. ANY military mission this country undertakes should have VICTORY as the only acceptable outcome. No compromise. No cease fire. And most of all, no "moral" victory. This country certainly has no claim to "morality", not when we have killed over 50 million unborn babies since 1973, and not when we elect politicians who are thieves, carpetbaggers, adulterers, and even murderers.

As I stated in an earlier post, this country has a long history of not "playing fair". People who play fair during times of war usually LOSE, or at best, break even (remember the Korean War?). During the times that this country did not enter a military conflict with the goal of victory, we LOST (remember Vietnam and the first Iraq War-"Desert Storm"?).

During World War 2, our military, and our government, was involved in many "unconstitutional" actions and was involved in many military actions that ran counter to the Geneva Convention. When SURVIVAL is at stake, rules of "morality" and "fair play" and "law" are broken, out of necessity, and because of our desire to SURVIVE.

A little history lesson that resulted in complete disaster.........When the armistice was signed to end World War 1, Germany's entire army was allowed to return to Germany, intact, and the "allies" (particularly France) put the screws to Germany by crippling their economy and destroying their infrastructure, which led to the rise of an opportunistic lunatic named Adolph Hitler. At the time of the armistice, General John Pershing stated that it was a catastrophic mistake to allow the German army to return intact to Germany, and it was a big mistake to not make it very clear to the German people that they had LOST the war, and they were a conquered nation.

President Obama has earned my respect for ALLOWING our military to do their job, regardless of the fallout afterwards. Yes, we entered a sovereign country without their knowledge, to "take care of business". So what. No Pakistanis were killed, and we learned a lot about what kind of "allies" our Pakistani "friends" really are.

Cast aside partisan political second-guessing. Rise above the political games and playground antics that are usually reserved for the leftists, and give Obama credit for a job well done.

Now that Obama FINALLY did something RIGHT, let's get back to more important topics, like the destruction of the U.S. economy, the erasure of our borders, the collapse of free-market health care in the United States, rising inflation, and the collapse of the U.S. dollar.

The plot was failed to go through.

4. Barak Obama now faces the Iran war deal. He is under blackmail: a puppet of the Feds – Donald Trump is leading a propaganda war – Birthers’ movement. The purpose is clear: you approve the war on Iran or you lose the chance of second term. Things could be worse: Obama may be sacrificed for Iran war. Iran war needs big justification. Nothing is bigger than the assassination of the President. They killed President Kennedy. So what for them to kill another one?

It was at the highest tide of the Birthers' movement when I wrote "665. Obama faces extortion (4/18/2011)", . I said the Feds was pushing hard on Obama to approve the project of Iran war. I worried that he even might be assassinated. Right that day an incident proved my opinion. An Air Force jet with first lady aborted landing and had to circle round for some time because it was too close to a military cargo plane. The error committed by an air traffic controller could cause a collision. I think that was an intimidation to Obama. The life of the president and his family are in the hands of the Feds.

Obama compromised. The date should be between 4/18 (the plane incident of the First lady) and 4/25. (Al Qaida issued warning that they would nuke US if Bin Laden captured or killed) It took the Feds five days to plan the hoax "Operation Geronimo".

We saw the rest development. 4/26, media said that 63% Of Americans Say They Wouldn’t Vote For Donald Trump, Obama released his "Birth certificate" on 4/27.

In early May Donald Trump hinted he wouldn't run for president . The birther's movement lost its power and scattered away. That's what Obama got.

American people now are facing a false flag "nuclear bombing" after May 1st, "Bin Laden's death".

I agree with you, but this mission is completely at odds with what BO claims he is for. And, the media has always agreed with what BO claimed he was for.

His actions defy is words.

He has executed an enemy leader in cold blood, but at the same time refuses to implement any tough interrogations, claims water boarding is torture, has limited interrogations to the Army Field Manual which anyone can access for details, and continues to prosecute Bush interrogators.

I believe our Skinny Socialist president has stepped into a pile of sh*t of his own making. And, here we were told he is the smartest man alive...

I disagree. It is totally in line with what Obama stands for. Once he was assured of the location of Bin Laden, he could have made a big show of it, he could have ordered the troops to invade Pakistan, thus leading us into another war, with hundreds, if not thousands of death. Instead, he selected a "surgical strike" which produced the results he had promised since before his election, and yet didn't cost any American lives, and VERY FEW foreign lives.

If you cannot see that, you are either blinded by your hatred of this President, or you fail to think logically.
