The Chinese flag was set to be raised over City Hall in San LeAndro on October 1st, the day honoring Mao Zedong. However, there was so much outcry by the Community the day after the vote was cast to do so, that the mayor has overturned the vote. However, the Chinese flag has been raised over the City Halls of Oakland, San Francisco, and Alamedia.
