What might happen: the rebels will kill hundreds using chemical weapons (likely with CIA support) and then blame Assad. Thus giving Obama the green light to launch an invasion against Assad. The evidence for chemical weapons is minimal, as is the moral justification for interfering in other countries. Why give arms to Al Qaida? It didn't do you much good last time.

I seems imminent that Obama is going to get us involved in Syria. Despite all the warnings from Russia, China and Iran.

It seems to be obvious that Syria is using chemical weapons against it's own people. This is a tragedy but, these weapons do not pose a clear and present danger to the US.
