Son of Osama

PFOS,
I would agree with your sentiments about Father and Son Bush. The Ole Man aint to bad, the kid just cant hang.

So for OBL's son, I dont really care what he has to say, if I were him, I would be keeping a much lower profile.
One has to think if the thought of the reward money has crossed the kids mind.

if my dad did **** like that, I would be doing as much as possible to counter it. Also he has said many times, he has not spoken with him, and does not know where he is...if thats true, does not matter how much money it is even if you wanted to.

Support we arm them, we give them photo ops and kiss them, we provide them with Intel, we ignore that they set up schools around the world preaching against us...when they get in trouble we move in and prop them up....

"prop them up"?? another ambiguous description. When were they ever in trouble? Kuwait was in trouble, we propped them up, not the saudis.

Prop them up, Like I said and you quoted, we feed them Intel, arm them, give them photo ops, work with them, and don't call them on there misdeeds. We do what ever we can to make sure they are "Stable" because stable =better fuel prices... If we really cared about "democracy" in the middle east...we would not be over there kissing them and giving them arms while they beat down woman in the street for not having escorts or not dressing the way they want. If we want to talk about Democracy in the Middle east, lets be noble and do more then just talk while we take actions clearly against those actions...maybe then some more in the middle east would at least not hate us as much...they may not love us, but we don't need love, I would settle for at least a small amount or respect for trying to help the people, not our pocketbook.

And if you don't think the house of Saud has been in trouble, they have very little support from its people, the only thing they have is they make sure to "deal" with those who dissent to much...Why do you think Bin Laden gets so much support attacking his own nation? Not that I want Bin Laden to be the instrument of change

Prop them up, .....

That implies they would fall without the prop. I dont believe thats the case. And if they did fall, it would be to the Islamic fundamentalist. But the Saudis have been dealing with unruly Ikhwan who seek the royals demise for a hundred years.

there is a good chance they would fall, and they still may...and yes its to fundamentalist now, but thats in part do to the fact that the current situation in Saud is that more and more are pushed to Fundamentalism from the start as its a escape or way to deal with the Oppression...had we been harder on them long again, and pushed them for more reform, and backed those who wanted reform like we do in Iran...I think we would find that much less of a issue and we could at least have hopes of a Democracy that also is not anti Western.

????? Uuuuh you should read some history on Saudi Arabia. Nobody has been pushed to fundamentalism, theyve always been there. There country was founded upon fundamentalism.

"CAIRO, Egypt (AP) - Omar Osama bin Laden bears a striking resemblance to his notorious father—except for the dreadlocks that dangle halfway down his back. Then there's the black leather biker jacket.
The 26-year-old does not renounce his father, al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden, but in an interview with The Associated Press, he said there is better way to defend Islam than militancy: Omar wants to be an "ambassador for peace" between Muslims and the West.

Omar—one of bin Laden's 19 children—raised a tabloid storm last year when he married a 52-year-old British woman, Jane Felix-Browne, who took the name Zaina Alsabah. Now the couple say they want to be advocates, planning a 3,000-mile horse race across North Africa to draw attention to the cause of peace.

"It's about changing the ideas of the Western mind. A lot of people think Arabs—especially the bin Ladens, especially the sons of Osama—are all terrorists. This is not the truth," Omar told the AP last week at a cafe in a Cairo shopping mall."

It seems he should be more concerned with changing some Islamic minds. I think we in the West have a pretty good handle on what Osama and company want.

exactly!
it always seems like muslims think they need to correct the West, that the West is wrong and needs to understand... and this will not end without bloodshed.
