I am not sure what this post is here , USAa is not Socialist. Nor is most of Europe and Canada.. Cyrus is just carrying out a tax policy to remain stable. All parties support this . If Socialism is so wrong why is Australia run by the Labor Party the only developed country to have no depression and little government debt.

I have never said the USA is socialist, nor have I said that Canada or Europe are socialist. I merely point out that Cyprus is committing widespread theft.
Socialism is wrong only in its purest form. Fascism, which I follow, practices both socialism and capitalism in a controlled manner, eliciting benefits from both systems. Socialism on its own is completely wrong and criminal. Pure socialism is in fact communism.

You think because government doles out welfare to corporations, so that politicians can get it back as campaign contributions, that the poor are financially harmed. This would have to assume that had the corporations NOT received corporate welfare, the poor would pay less in taxes or receive monetary benefits they do not get now. This is flawed logic. Even if all corporate welfare were abolished, the poor would not benefit in any way. Their taxes would not be reduced. In fact, they might suffer as corporations would likely charge more for their products and eliminate jobs currently held by the working poor.

And...the poor outnumber the rich in EVERY nation on Earth. So your stating the poor outnumber the rich in the USA, is meaningless.

Simple mathematics must escape you. There are far more poor in the USA, therefore they are the greater number of taxpayers. Individually, they may not pay as much as you would want to believe, but their sheer numbers more than make up for that.
Of course the poor are harmed. The cycle goes on, with taxes increasing each time further draining the poor of what little money they have.
Yes, the poor WOULD pay less in taxes if not for corporate welfare. The money would either remain in their own hands, or at the very least, go to social services to benefit them. They do not receive monetary benefits BECAUSE their money is being handed out to corporations. What part of this simple equation do you not understand? I am aghast you think like this.
If corporate welfare were abolished, the poor SHOULD receive benefits via tax reductions since no monies would be required for the corporations.
How would the corporations charge more for their products if they do not get corporate welfare? That is idiotic. They would simply price themselves out of business, and this would have NOTHING to do with corporate welfare. All corporate welfare is nothing more than increasing a corporation's profits. Corporate welfare is nothing more than blackmail. 'Give us your money, or we leave and you have no jobs'. As a fascist, I would say 'if you threaten to leave, we confiscate your company for threatening the Canadian people, then where are you?'

The problem with Cyprus is that it spends more than it can afford. Banks do not determine what a country spends. Foreign investment benefited the state if anything.
