The problem with Cyprus is that it spends more than it can afford. Banks do not determine what a country spends. Foreign investment benefited the state if anything.

Isn't the same thing happening to cities in the U.S.? Like Stockton CA. They went bankrupt because of unfunded liabilities. Their pensions take up 40% and they sold a lot of building bonds to investors. It looks like it's the bond investors that are going to take it in the shorts.

I have never said the USA is socialist, nor have I said that Canada or Europe are socialist. I merely point out that Cyprus is committing widespread theft.
Socialism is wrong only in its purest form. Fascism, which I follow, practices both socialism and capitalism in a controlled manner, eliciting benefits from both systems. Socialism on its own is completely wrong and criminal. Pure socialism is in fact communism.

You have shown many times on this board evidence on how wrong you are..I like to think of myself as a nice person, and have always tried my best to live my life in a way that would leave me with few enemies. I thought that that was a good thing to do. But I realized something awhile back.... The greatest of all, the only perfect man, the pure example, Jesus Christ, had earned his enemies. He had LOTS of them, and they hated him with such vitriol that they had him killed. His crime? Unapologetically delivering His message. Am I better than Him because I'm more tolerant of evil, because I'm more indiscriminate? Or is living my life in such a way as to offend no one actually doing me and others more harm? In order to offend no one you have to be willing to not offend evil. In order to have no enemies I have to tolerate and apologize for the things that I know are true that some people hate because they hate the truth. Perhaps I'd be better off living by and defending my principles under all circumstance, even when it earns me enemies.
