"The first measles death in the growing outbreak in West Texass was a school-aged child.

The child was unvaccinated and had been hospitalized in Lubbock, Texas, said Lauren Adams, Lubbock city spokesperson.

This is the first U.S. measles death since 2015, when a woman in Washington state died.

The number of confirmed measles cases reported in an outbreak in West Texas is now at 124, the Texas Department of Health Services said in an update Tuesday, an increase of 34 since late last week. Most of the cases are in children ages 5 to 17.

At Presidunce Spanky’s first cabinet meeting on Wednesday, he deferred a question (surprise, surprise) about the measles outbreak in Texas to Robert F. Kennedy Jr., secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, who said, “We are following the measles epidemic every day.”

"New Jersey health officials have confirmed two additional cases of measles in the state this year linked to a Bergen County resident who recently traveled internationally.

The state Department of Health officials warned that the person may have exposed others during a visit to the emergency department at Englewood Hospital in Bergen County on Feb. 9 between 11:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Two additional cases had been identified, both involving individuals who had close contact with the original patient, health officials said."

"One of the most contagious viruses in the world is spreading around the United States. So far in 2025 there have been three distinct measles outbreaks and at least 164 cases reported to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention coming from nine states.

The largest of the outbreaks is in West Texass, where the total number of people diagnosed with measles grew to 146 on Friday. An unvaccinated child in the region died last week. It was the first measles death in the U.S. since 2015.

While the focus in recent weeks has been on Texass, eight other states have confirmed cases of the virus, the CDC reports. Nine cases have been confirmed in New Mexico’s Lea County, and at least one case has been confirmed in Alaska, California, Georgia, Kentucky, New Jersey, New York and Rhode Island."

It is the obligation of the government to prevent epidemics. Measles, not the Democrats, is the obvious enemy here. Whet should be happening is that RFK Jr should be doing everything he can to see to it that people at risk, especially children, are given the measles vaccine.

But all the silly turd has done is declare, "getting vaccinated is optional", without stating the whole sentence, which is, "if you want your kids to be healthy, GET THEM VACCINATED LIKE I DID, Like all concerned parents do."

Supermarkets are already warning customers fruit and veg from Mexico is about to rise by 25% and there's plenty from Mexico.
