Why do we need any book of magic tales at all? Swearing in carries the potential for perjury so that anyone can be convicted of lieing in official testimony. An atheist has no immunity to purjury if he has no belief in the bible, yet he is required to swear on it. If perjury is a legal issue not a theological one then why not swear on the constitution?

The fear of communism during the cold war is exactly the same as the fear of Islam today during the war on terror. Neither of these beliefs really work in real life or do that much good, but people believe they do a lot more harm than they actually do and that they are a huge threat.

Communism fell by itself, not because of the mighty USA. Radical Islam will fall because of the lack of support it will gain in the future from peaceful.

I beg to differ. How minorities are treated by society in large is a value passed along by parents and society in general. The Constitution protects the rights of minorities from the excesses of the majority. Somehow minorities have the same rights is infringing on the rights of groups like traditionalvalues.org from forcing their religious beliefs on everyone else.

Are you joking? People are constitutionally allowed to practice the religion of their choice. Heck, this country was settled by people who were seeking religious freedom among other things.

Oh please. That is such a regurgitated line from the public education system. Muslims have nothing to do with this country at all what so ever. I've heard the same arguments and they're a bunch of crap used to help people adapt to this country's mistakes. The Face of this country has been changing for years and its history being taught in schools has evolved coincidentally to accomodate those changes. History doesn't change. The past is the past but people will change the perception of the past to fit the popular political slant. Example: What your father learned about History in school is not the same as you learned and it just gets more liberal as we go along. But it's the same material on the same event. All that crap they taught you about the welcoming of other religious races here is only a big despicable lie that doesn't reflect the attitude or sentiment of this country at all. Its only after such a thing was implemented did they teach it's what this country is all about to make you become accustomed to Government BS and dirty laundry. Read a book and find out the real truth on why everything is the way it is in this country. Many things were not agreed upon with Americans, were out of their control or they didn't even know it was changed. Quickest reason why things like this have occurred? Political gain. All for the political gain of the orchestrated party (most of the time, democrats).

My apologies, but none of that makes a bit of sense. people are free to practice the religion of their choosing, or to not practice any religion. I for one am damn happy that I live in a country where individual freedoms are cherised.

"Family values" are a myth - they change with each generation and everyone tries to harken back to a mythical time when we all had "family values".

Nothing is new, only recycled. If you look at history...you will find the same complaints about youth and culture recycled over and over again.
