Women still make less money on average than men do. There has been a lot of progress, to be sure. When I was at the same stage of life you are at now, think 1950s, women had only a few career choices: Secretary, nurse, teacher, airline stewardess (only if single and attractive), telephone operator (you probably don't remember those). Now they do have more choices, but still don't make the same wages.

I have that same experience. If I call a repair shop I get a good response because I have a pretty deep voice and they think I'm a man, but when I bring the car in they treat me as if I've lost 30-40 IQ points.

It's funny in a way, when I go to Home Depot I know I'm passing if they treat me like an idiot, but if the guy helping me thinks I'm just another queer, then he'll respond like Siho does here on the site, "Can I help you, SIR?" despite my feminine presentation. I've never had a woman treat me that way though, only men.

If you would have said sexual assualts in the first place, I would have agreed that it happens to women more. But men are PHYSICALLY assualted far more often.

If there is a wage difference, it is small. When you say "mirrors on ceilings", what are you reffering to? When you say "assualted", what do you mean? I do not mean rape, I mean all PHYSICAL assualt. I doubt that anyone can go 67 years without getting in a fight or being mugged or jumped.

When was the last time you were refused medical care at an office, even though you had the money to pay, because the people at the office said, "We don't want your kind here,"? Three out of five women will be sexually or physically assaulted during their life times. The figures for men are not that high, nor are the assualts as one-sided. Men are far more capable of protecting themselves than women.

Of course women can be just as cruel and malicious as men, but the numbers show that they are NOT nearly as likely to be so. Don't confuse the ability to do something with the completed act of doing something.

Reading you political posts I thought you were probably fairly bright and well educated, but this exchange has made me rethink my assessment of you. There seems to be a chip on your shoulder where women are concerned.
