Not by now it most certainly would not have. And probably not ever, as we would still have 1000s of miles of maritime border to the east and west and 100s of miles of border that cannot be fenced.Wrong the the wall would have slowed down illegals and drugs.
No need for an expensive, ineffective wall. A fence would acheive the same thing, which would really be only to redirect migrants to desired points of entry. This has been studied many times over.
It would not have cost "just a few bbillion". It would require maintenance and monitoring. Forever. So that's just plain false.
The migrant crisis exists because of factors we cannot control. What we CAN control is improving our system. Give them and easier, legit pathway to citizenship and to work visas.
