Iran paid in advance for US weapons when the Shah was in power and an ally of he US.
It was wise to return Iran's money to Iran rather than to allow the interest in the money to accrue.
You appear far to stupid the comprehend that the US was given two choices: to return Iran's money or to allow the interest to accrue at a pre-established and rising rate.

It was a WISE decision.

Iran supposedly has been only months weeks or days away from having nuclear weapons. That is what we have been hearing for the past five years, and still, Iran has no nukes. They seem to be good at making drones, though.
