yes bo knew across the board and heavy was the only way. but his massive expansion cant be covered even with that.

but perhaps if people have to pony up these tax increases they will sober up

It is time to find different approaches to poverty, rather than continuing the outrageously failed left wing socialist policies. But anyone suggesting new solutions to the vexing problem of poverty, is immediately condemned by knee jerk leftists like yourself.

Poverty and the welfare state here seems to be in part generational. I don't see it changing without the culture changing. Families used to be responsible for each other, but too many families today are being replaced by the government and an irresponsible society is what has been emerging.

families dying and things have turned to shit. we were of course warned this would happen at every step along the way.

youre right basic fundamental changes are needed. i think they will come when it all collapses on itself but its always possible we see the light but im not holding my breath.

When House Speaker Boehner presented his Plan B to increase taxes on people with income over $1million, the rest of the House threw it out.

I hope those same Republicans do the same thing when some weak, compromise proposal from the Senate hits the House - throw it out. I looks like just another delay in fixing this federal budget.

its easy to fix the budget and doesnt require oassing anything. no debt limit increase. take away the credit card and there is no choice but to live within their means.
