There is a mandate to the states that say there should be no limits on attorney.

4) CONTENTS OF ALTERNATIVE MEDICAL LIABILITY LAW- The contents of an alternative liability law are in accordance with this paragraph if--

Yep. Tort Reform for the trial attorneys. Another payoff to those that supported the democrats and Obama.

Tell me again, how this was a bill for the people. It was simply about paybacks.

I would think most GOPers would have abandoned the party when the big government statists took it over under Bush, but it seems to be making a comeback.

Just imagine how much cops could accomplish if they would get together with the bank robbers and negotiate how much the robbers can take from the vault. Maybe they could persuade the robbers to leave SOME.

Sure, the cops could accomplish a lot, making a lot of robbers wealthy. But they wouldn't be doing any favors for the rightful owners of the bank deposits (that's the American people)... and they certainly wouldn't be doing what they were hired for.

Same situation with Republicans "negotiating" (read: caving) with Democrats who want to advance socialism. Even the morality of the two situations, is the same.
