BigRob tends to assume he isn't talking to a completely ignorant group. A position he might need to rethink. I conversely just love for people to question me on it, so I can then slam them upside the head with my sources.

Dr. M. C. Pike, at the University of Southern California in l981, published the first serious scientific study that demonstrated a direct association of induced abortion with later breast cancer. He studied 163 women who developed breast cancer before age 33, and compared them with 272 controls. He showed that if a woman had aborted her first pregnancy, her chance for developing breast cancer was increased by a factor of 2.4 times.

In 1986, government scientists wrote a letter to the British journal Lancet and acknowledged that abortion is a cause of breast cancer. They wrote, "Induced abortion before first term pregnancy increases the risk of breast cancer." (Lancet, 2/22/86, p. 436)

Of course I also have little sympathy for women that end up in un-ending depression, or cancer from having multiple abortions, and then wonder what their problem is. It's not a big secret that there is much research connecting abortion and cancer, and Post-Abortion Syndrome is not exactly new.
