Dr.Who;38871]Right. No one should be forced to give up control of their body for reasons that are anything less than really important. So the ones that are not yet born should be allowed to not have their bodies ripped apart or poisoned or stabbed, etc. Which is more important privacy or life?
I understand your premis... but I don't agree. A woman cannot/should not be forced to carry and give birth to a child. If there was a way to magically extract the fetus from the woman without doing her damage and have the fetus survive I'd see no problem. But that is not possible.
Abortion raises a lot of emotions. I can understand that. But miscarriages and still born births happen all the time in nature. A chosen abortion before viability should not be taken lightly. But absolutely never should be made illegal as it was some 35 years ago forcing women to unsafe unsterile back alley abortion clinics.
Just my personal belief as a father of two girls.
Perhaps all the women who have these alien invaders (sarcasm) inside them should get a ceasarian?
It's a tough decision I'm sure for any woman to have to make (seriously). Still it should be her decision. Not mine... or yours... or the governments.
About that last point - no you don't have full control over your body. Your control ends where your body ends and another's begins.
Well that's just not true. I posted several allowable reasons to kill full blown self surviving people. It's not a great thing but there are allowances in the law to kill. And let's not forget that when you take the "no abortion" issue to its origins even today's safe & effective birth control pill would be taken off the market and branded illegal. Because as we know the egg is already fertilized and The Pill creates a toxic environment so the egg can't implant in the womb hence aborting it.
Humorous clip on how anti choice is anti woman.
