Massachussetts Senate Seat

Here is your example. One of the main Tea Party members that I have had interaction with is demanding a recall of a Senator. Unfortunately, that is not allowed by either the state of US constitution. She says that does not matter and she will continue to try to accomplish that goal.

It seems to me, that for a party that claims to be all about the Constitution to disregard what it says when it suits them, is one of the highest levels of hypocrisy.

WOW!!! judge millions on a stupid statement of another!!! that shows real intelligence!!

Ask yourself then who appointed this woman to manage the affairs of that party for about half the state? Could it be the members of the party? Not to mention, such a petition is being signed by numerous people. So what is it? Are they ignorant of the document they claim to support, or do they simply not care?

Of course, you have ignored my initial statement of "with my limited personal interaction." Frankly, I have little time for hyper partisan people of any party.

No BigRob. Last year was about words promising substance. No substance has followed the lofty words and we are a jaded public. We're done with political rhetoric specifically with regards to universal health care. Real people are losing real relatives, friends and coworkers to premature deaths due simply to the monopoly that the healthcare industry has in this country.

We expected Obama's crew and his fellow dems in Congress to KICK BUTT. And of course they've just layed down and pissed on themselves as usual. That idiot won in Mass because they loved their Ted Kennedy prescisely because he was "The Lion of The Left". Not the "gerbil of the left". These goddamned democrats need to stop compromising their agendas and realize that taking a non-compromising stance is titilating to voters who LONG for strong and decisive leadership. They don't even care if it's the wrong leadership, just as long as it's strong: hence Brown's win.

Voters are sick to death of insipid milktoast democrats and I am right there with them..

So, in your opinion Democrats lost in MA for not doing enough?

the monopoly that the healthcare industry has in this country.
What monopoly?

Do you think the food-service industry should compete with the health care industry for healthcare dollars?

Or are you trying to suggest that without government competition, the private sector has a monopoly?

Would you prefer a government monopoly on health care?

Any organization making a profit is a monopoly.

This is a new definition of monopoly and found in the Red Book of Leftists.

People people...

calm down the sky is not falling.

Two things here: #1) Massachusetts already has Universal Healthcare and #2) the MoveOn poll clearly showed that many Independents who voted for Brown thought the current national Health Insurance Reform Bills on the table WEREN'T Progressive ENOUGH!

Which makes sense because they want something that they saw as good as what they already have.

Overall I think President Obama made a strategic error going so long trying open this whole Health Insurance Reform Bill up to Republican input. It's not like the Republicans were negotiating in good faith. Many were playing lead speaker at Teabagger events. Hell if you go straight by the overall population numbers the majority of Americans wanted a single payer health insurance system.

So all this said whenever I've had a few minutes the last couple days... which hasn't been a lot because I've had 3, 4 meetings a day, but I've been posting on various State Democratic, Progressive and candidate sites with a copy of this straight forward message...

Democrats now is the time to find your Kumbaya moment. Pass the Senate version of Health Insurance Reform NOW. Go back at some later time and add to or make changes with new legislation.

Or allow a 41 Republican to 59 Democratic 18 seat minority somehow seem to mean a Republican majority. Let's start over is a trapped door to nothing.

Move NOW!

It will be interesting how this plays out...

They were not progressive enough so its better to go the other way ?

This guy spent all his time talking about how he would be the 41st vote against obama and his agenda... they want it stopped as much as I do. Many of them were interviewed after and said as much. Though I admit most were against pelosi and reid more than obama himself.

So what's so horrible about a government monopoly on health care...wouldn't it be equal/fair...more priced friendly if we had it the reverse to what it has been allowed to bulldozer directly at us and over us for the past 40 plus years?

Government run monopolies: USPO...what other nation in the world has the type of door to door service for the price of a 47¢ postage stamp.

I can't think of any and I only have friends in Norway, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, England, Japan and some nieces & a couple of nephews in Iraq & Afghanistan to just name a few global locations...and believe me when I say...we kick ass on our mail delivery system {even though I complain about the hierarchy and the money wasted on commercials to sell their service}. So our government run monopoly seems to work...maybe not in the precise way that each of us deems correct/efficient...but it works!
