"THC-O, like many other novel synthetically-derived cannabinoids, has never been tested for safety in human studies. It is reported to produce effects that are two to three times more psychoactive than delta-9 THC, the primary euphoric ingredient in cannabis. Dr. Michelle Peace, associate professor in the Department of Forensic Science at Virginia Commonwealth University and Director of the Laboratory of Forensic Toxicology Research, said “These products are unregulated and untested, readily available on the internet and unlicensed sources, and pose significant threat to public health and safety.”
"Recreational marijuana stores in Maine sold nearly $159 million in cannabis products in 2022.
That total nearly doubled sales of roughly $82 million in 2021, according to Lewiston-based Maine Public Radio, which aggregated data from the state’s Office of Cannabis Policy.
The state launched adult-use sales in October 2020."
“Everybody who’s got a home garden during the spring and the summer grows tomatoes. But 98% of the tomatoes they buy are at a store,” said Carl Giannone, co-founder of Trade Roots, a cannabis company based in Wareham, Massachusetts, that sells seeds direct to consumers.
“If growing tomatoes makes them want to buy tomatoes, then I want to let them grow.”
