Is homosexuality a choice or is it genetic?

Who is preventing who from making any choice? All I see are gays demanding that the rest of society validate their choice. Some insecurity complex they will need to deal with on their own.

First off, to quote Republican Sen. Larry Craig, "I'm not gay". However, in my case it's true, so my defense of them may be somewhat lacking. I know though, society is preventing them the choice to marry, adopt, equal rights in general, the kind of things the rest of us take for granted. I don't think they want to be validated, I think they just want to be treated with the same dignity as everybody else.

Oh, I wouldn't say that conservatives are gay at a higher rate than the national average. Just the ones who are unnaturally obsessed with my sex life. :D

We've been over this all before. When will you screaming Liberals stop and just understand the true dynamics of GAY!

There's regular people gay... That's when 2 guys find that they like or maybe love each other and they have sex. This is obviously unnatural & very bad.

Then there is Conservative Republican gay... That's when 2 guys still have the sex but one still loves his wife very much.. or he may have just been drunk and needs to go into rehab. This is obviously very natural & NOT GAY in any way as long as after you are caught you have a "I'm not gay" press conference & photo shoot and/or go into rehab.

I hope this clears up once and for all the true "Gay" dynamic. There are no gay Conservatives only wife loving sometimes drunken men that have sex with other men.

You're welcome! :)

Your continued obsession with homosexuality is typical of the average conservative Republican. Do conservatives have something to hide? Or is it just more of the conservative mind set of judge, judge, judge. I suspect it is a little of both. It's a sad state of affairs, when two of the Republicans main issues are the Iraq war and sticking their noses in other people's bedrooms.

In case you weren't aware of the fact, this thread is about homosexuality. What other topic exactly would be appropriate to talk about on this thread.

Arguments have been put forward and rather than defeat them by virtue of your intellect, the best you can do is name calling an inuendo.

What's the matter? Day not going the way you would like? A little Fox News will clear that right up, give you your Republican talking points for the day. Follow them faithfully, oh I forgot, you already do.

By the way, if you had any knowledge of animal husbandry (which also applies to humans), you would know that inbreeding can just as easily result in a superior offspring and siblings are very often inbred to strengthen desirable traits.
I can vouch for this. Inbreeding and line-breeding are techniques used to improve the offspring of Quarter Horses and other horses with apparent great success.

Good demonstration of paleriders point.

Its going fine for me. None of the arguments that I have put foward are even being challenged, much less being defeated. In case you didn't notice, you are loosing for exactly that reason.

Thinking you are winning or losing an argument is all relative, is it not?

Inbreeding horses may have success in terms of the early years of their life, and I haven't researched it, but I'm willing to bet they get very ill as soon as they reach middle age.

Its like pedigree dogs. Get one, and it goes blind and deaf by the time its 8 as a general rule. Get a mongrel, and it will live much longer.

Nope, doesn't work like that 9sublime. Quarter horses, for example, generally live between 18 and 27 years and experience no ill effects from inbreeding. The inbreeding improves the line. And I have had pedigreed dogs for most of my adult life. As a rule, they have lived to be between 14 and 17 years old. Certain breeds are not known for their longevity, but inbreeding isn't the culprit.

You need to do some serious research if you want to speak intelligently on this subject.

In order to lose an argument, one's own arguments need to be defeated. Kindly bring forward one argument that I have made that has been defeated. FYI, name calling and inuendo don't constitute either argument or the defeat of an argument.

Well Black labs have a pathetic lifespan. Every person I know who has one older than about 8 has a deaf/blind one (and fairly often a tumour)
