When you say, "Here is your proof", one would expect that proof to immediately follow your statement. Instead, you provide us an unsupported personal opinion aimed at relating gun-control to reduced murder rates. That's not proof, that's a pathetically-uninformed opinion.

Switzerland has the fourth highest rate of gun ownership, yet has a small murder rate. Rwanda has an extremely low rate of gun ownership, but has experienced large numbers of murders and outright genocide! Neither of these two examples fit with the conclusion you've drawn about gun-ownership/control and murder rates! To conclude that a variable has a high correlation to an "outcome", using a universe of ONE data point is MEANINGLESS! Typical of those on the American Left, you select the one variable that fits your political agenda, and ignore all others. That's very unscientific!

IF it could be mathematically quantified, there's no doubt in my mind what the "driver variable" of high murder rates is; i.e., the moral foundation and societal principles that are enforced within individual cultures! If every person in Vatican City was required to carry a gun, what do you think the murder rate would be? I suspect we'd find that a 100% gun-ownership rate resulted in a 0% murder rate!

Its Because cops in switzerland dont enforce petty laws like Traffic and parking violations like in the US. They dont hide in Motel bathrooms and yell FREEZE!!! when you bring a prositute whos an undercover cop. Thats why crime is low there. They enforce real crime like Canada does.

It WAS the Republicans of the 19th century who ended slavery! It's my opinion that they could have ended slavery without a murderous civil war. For that I blame 19th-century Republicans.
