The Maricopa County Elections Department released a report on Wednesday slamming the audit commissioned by the state’s GOP-led Senate, writing that it contained “faulty analysis” and “inaccurate claims.”

Georgia votes with paper ballots, and all of the actual paper ballots from November’s election were counted three times, including a 100 percent hand recount in which teams of poll workers touched and saw every vote cast. There is zero doubt that three counts of the ballots resulted in conclusive results on who won the election in Georgia. Wishful thinking by conspiracy theorists cannot change the outcome, no matter what immaterial technicality they claim to have identified this week.”

Michael T. Morley, Sheila M. McDevitt Professor of Law at Florida State University College of Law, explained to Reuters, “it appears that, at the time of the 2020 election, nothing in Rule 183-1-12-.13 expressly required election officials themselves to keep either the original electronic ballot images, or an electronic copy of them, after the period for requesting a recount had elapsed to make them available for public inspection.”

“Subpoena Non-Compliance and Password”

Fann states that Maricopa county has “refused to produce virtual images of routers used in connection with the general election.” The county Board of Supervisors have previously declined to provide the routers as well as virtual images since the traffic information on the routers include not just election department network traffic, but traffic for all the county’s departments including “sensitive data” from law enforcement.

She also says that the county has refused to “provide the passwords necessary to access vote tabulation devices.”

The passwords have become a sticking point for both parties.

Maricopa county insists that the passwords are not in their control since they are only needed by the vendor to maintain parts of the tabulation equipment software that is not directly responsible for tabulating ballots.

The Senate letter argues that the county would have been unable to conduct its own independent audit, two of which were completed in February, without these passwords.

Democrats claim they were not specifically ordered to utilize the ballot images securities afforded with the machines but after their lack of security in 2020 are now using the election security measures that were specifically designed to guard against fraud. Images help prove the ballots were legitimate. Repeated recounts of illegitimate ballots will never verify the ballots were legitimate.
