They are entitled to the cost and a small profit from buying the equipment and mining and exporting the minerals. But not the the over 1000 percent income compare to other Australians. Progresive tax is design to make us more equal.

All Aussies did not take the risk of investment on the enterprise. Australia gets it's cut and they determined what the cut would be. We'll see if France realizes a franc of that 30%. It will not.

You didn’t take any part in the investment or the risk

You can’t just sit on your fat butt and wait for your fair share because you think you get a cut just because you live in the same country. Those minerals would just sit in the ground like they have for thousands of years unless someone got off their fat butt and came up with a plan that involved risk to get it out of the ground and market how to sell it exc. I find it insulting that there are people who expect cuts for doing nothing. In the US we call those people the Mob or the government.

to be fair, had the government taken the risk of developing the minerals then all aissies should share in the rewards. that didn't happen, theh government got the share it demanded. end of story.

I don;t know the situation in Aus very well. I suspect that they are entitled to whatever profit they can make by law.

Perhaps progressive taxes are DESIGNED to make us more equal but that is NEVER the result.
