Someone claiming to be "Genetic healthcare services" told me they would send a test kit to me to return with a cheek swab that would tell me if I was genetically likely to contract a variety of diseases. Then they asked for my medicare card number and my social security number, so I gave them the numbers I made up.

Earlier, I have received calls from call centers (lots of chattering people in the background) that told me that I needed to upgrade my Medicare card for the "*NEW special medicare card that has a chip in it*, and they wanted the numbers of my medicare card. Since no one has ever asked me for the Medicare card to rn through a scanner, I figured it was a scam, and of course, it was.

But this one is new, and only one HHS website warned about this particular scan.

Probably illegals the pull a lot of scams Haiti also

I think that a huge number of scam calls are made by people in India and Pakistan. Haitians are not typically involved in telephone scams, as they do not sound like Americans when they speak English.
I'm sorry I misspoke. I should of said Jamaican , I was thinking about a friend from Haiti .
Just so you know I get them on our house phone also but I hate to tell you this , many of them from India and Pak along with others are pretty easy to tell.
