1. ......As Nicole Hemmer eloquently argued in a piece for U.S. News And World Report, Trump is a classic gaslighter — and his target is all of us. She writes:
Trump is a toxic blend of Barnum and bully. If you’re a good mark, he’s your best friend. But if you catch on to the con, then he starts to gaslight. Ask him a question and he’ll lie without batting an eye. Call him a liar and he’ll declare himself “truthful to a fault.” Confront him with contradictory evidence and he’ll shrug and repeat the fib. Maybe he’ll change the subject. But he’ll never change the lie.
When faced with their brazen lies, gaslighters deny their own statements, change the subject, lash out with insults (think “little” Rubio and “liar” Cruz), act indignant about the accusation, or turn on the messenger — which, for Trump, is often the national media.....
Trump has said a lot of things that are simply untrue, with varying degrees of consequence....
According to a Politico analysis of a week’s worth of his speeches, Trump tells a falsehood, on average, once every five minutes. It’s hard to keep up with that many untruths, but Politifact has a good running compilation.
Yet despite his history of patently false statements, neither his opponents nor reporters have had much luck calling him out.
Stern said it’s extremely difficult to get gaslighters to take responsibility for their actions, because instead of expressing shame or contrition, they are likely to feign outrage and attack the questioner.
“You might be confronting the person on their own behavior, but they will immediately turn you into the problem,” she said. “It can be extremely damaging to your sense of self and psychological stability.”....
Editor’s Note: Donald Trump is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist, birther and bully who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims — 1.6 billion members of an entire religion — from entering the U.S.

2. “The world is laughing at us,” Trump said on the stump in October 2016. “We don’t win at the borders. We don’t win with taking care of our vets. We don’t win with anything. We don’t win anymore. We will start winning again like you’ve never seen before.” He’s kept it up since entering office. “At what point does America get demeaned? At what point do they start laughing at us as a country?” he asked in June 2017. “The world is laughing at us. The world is laughing at the stupidity of what we have done with immigration,” he said in August....

3. It is unthinkable that a “con artist” could con the entire country for four years. The country in question is none other than America, the supposedly "global beacon of democracy" whose citizens are supposed to have better brains than the inhabitants of "shithole" nations publicly ridiculed by Trump.
Instead of curbing the coronavirus, the “fake news” president spends most of his time tweeting, golfing, jet-setting and watching television. By November 18, 2020, his mismanagement has cost the lives of more than 250,000 Americans. It won't be surprising that the death toll could surge beyond 300,000 by January 20 next year.
By the time Satan thinks it is time for the "con artist" ex-president to call it a day, Trump will be long remembered for making himself, America and US democracy the "butt of global jokes".
However, despite the damage and disruption he has done to his country and the rest of the world, he won't be forgotten for unknowingly contributing "a little bit of good" that could save a lot of lives even long after his departure for his final destination.
Whenever we see a desperate person trying to jump from a tall building or a high bridge, we can pull him back from the brink of death with this advice: "Why are you in such a hurry to leave this amazing world? Just think of the unbelievable feat achieved by a con man in conning the entire country. Stick around, and you can make the impossible possible too!"
