It would need a worldwide coordinated effort. China is #1 for emissions and has 3x the amount of USA which is #2 for emissions, followed by India, Russia and Japan.
Use green energy when and where its possible and logical. Obviously a massive ocean liner transporting goods across the Atlantic isn't gonna get very far on electric unless half of the thing is made out of batteries.
There's no reason every house shouldn't have solar panels on them or be covered in plants. (then again, I'm pretty sure fossil fuels are used to make solar panels, but hey, gotta start somewhere).
There is no way in hell they can stop global warming but I believe they can definitely slow it down.
Also, kind of going into conspiracy theory territory here, but I'm sure clean, powerful alternate energy tech exists, but would probably have a huge economic impact.
Also, the little things help. After covid, many of the desk jockey jobs went to work from home, and studies say that reduced those peoples' carbon footprint by 50% (still not nearly enough to stop global warming).
They should also ban plastic bottles that are less than 16oz. Its pathetic to use that much plastic instead of just buying a good water filter and refilling the same bottle over and over. There are so many little things that could be done, but like I said, at best, we can slow it. I have realistic expectations.
