How could more Americans have been given and guaranteed freedoms because soldiers died in wars? If you don't know then I cannot answer.

Explain how you benefited from the wars in Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan.
Some wars have benefited this country, but the most recent ones were avoidable, unwinnable and the money could have been used far better to benefit American citizens.

Christian love and influence was opened and protected by US forces in South Vietnam while communist North Vietnamese officials were brutally attacking Christians and Christianity in their communist dominance of the oppressed people.

So, the purpose of the Vietnam was was, according to you, to make South Vietnam, a traditionally Buddhist majority country, a Christian nation? Really? Vietnam was a French colony since 1888, and the French sent lots and lots of missionaries, as well as a colonial army, and they did not manage to make it a Christian nation. The even sort of tried to do this.

Both sides attacked one another brutally, neither was less brutal than the other.
The US lost over 50,000 troops there, and millions of Vietnamese died. It was doomed from the start, and was unwinnable. MacNamara knew it was unwinnable, and so did LBJ.

Nixon said he was gonna win it, but he carpet bombed Cambodia and allowed Pol Pot to take power. Some victory, that.

No American was more free as a result of that war.

Is that what we lost 50,000 troops for? Cheap socks?

I believe the war in Vietnam was a just response to the pleas from the free people of South Vietnam for help fighting the communist aggressors seeking to seize power throughout the world in furtherance of their wicked world domination agenda.

The communists were attempting to take over the free people of South Vietnam against their will, just like Hitler and Stalin took over and oppressed or murdered millions of innocent people against their will.

Politicians have a remarkable ability to make bad predictions.

Very few soldiers who give up their limbs or lives for others are actually benefitted personally by their great sacrifice. That is why we honor our servicemen for such noble sacrifices.

The world goes on. Slaves may be able to make socks just as well as free workers can but that does not make slavery more beneficial.
