Another Terrorist Attack?

The Australian media is saying there was a terrorist attack in Brighton a suburb of Melbourne. One drug affected man killed another and held a woman as hostage. He was a suspect in another terrorist attack.
IS claimed credit for the attack. The woman was rescued, and two police were wounded before they killed the man. Is this a terrorist attack?

Kinda lame is it is. Sure that wasn't meant as a rather crude joke? Like blaming a cat vs dog fight as terrorist ?

dogtowner I inclined to agree with you. The criminal concern was never convicted of terrorism although he was charged with others of an attack on any army base. He was found not guilty but the media still says this is a link with terrorism . Are we jail everyone accused of terrorism?
He claim he was doing this for Is but also al Qaeda. He can not be working for both as they are opposed.
Yet the media here accused him of being a terrorist. This like saying that anyone who is a Muslim or Arab should be put n an interment camp like during the war.
We have genuine victims of terrorism .One or two of the seven victims killed in London Bridge was an Australian.
Why must we exaggerate every criminal act as a terrorist act.

It's very possible for a single guy to do bad things thinking it's "for" ISIS and al quada as he sees it as jihad which is just generic muslim. He may have had zero contact with any of them. But if it's all for allah then it is terrorism if on a small scale. But a dementic dispute is just a domestic dispute.
