No, the majority of legitimate voters voted for Trump but millions of illegitimate ballots were cast for democrats in the last 3 elections. Democrats have a monopoly on godless savage crooked voting fraud operations.
And according to someone on your side that means majority of voters preferred Clintons policy over trumps.
Btw I am not sure about “badly,” even when looking at electoral counts only. One objective way to quantify this is to find the minimum number of votes that if reversed the other person would have won. In 2016, from memory, I think it was around 10000 or so. In 2024, again from memory, around 120000 or so.
That’s hardly “badly”.
Both sides would line to claim “mandate.” But we are at this point a 50/50 nation. IMO a mandate or beating the other side “badly” should start around at least 60/40.

Trump's win proved the majority of voters supported Trump's policies over Clinton's.
That underscores the need for every fraudulent vote to be found out and rejected.
Democrats have been running roughshod over Congress and American voters but those days are now numbered.

Like it or not Biden's miraculous win was not legitimate and was statistically impossible.
