We went to Paris last October, and I had the chance to hear a lone pianist in a basically deserted metro station! Amazing where real talent can be found!
I'll try to post the very short video I recorded of this pianist. He was really good too!
Great! If you come by Liege, Belgium, let's have a drink! I don't remember which station he was in. . . we were on our way from Gare du Nord to Versailles

"More like a professional piano player wearing a brand new construction suit with no scuff marks on his shoes! fake traffic marshal! but Amazing piano player!"
If you have the opportunity, you should try this restaurant/breakfast place/ bakery very near Gard du Nord (less than a block away!). It's called "Notre pain quotidien." It is excellent, as they use very fresh, mostly organic produces and all their own fresh bakery. It is a chain, but I think this one near Gare du Nord is the original one. Are you planning on visiting Versailles also? It's pretty easy with the train from Paris. We used to live about one mile from the palace grounds. Loved it!
Not this trip no. Not been there either so that's still on the to do list. I've been to Paris quite a lot but only for meetings so we're all looking forward to just wandering around.
