Solution to the oil problem

Meanwhile, USHadIT has only had about two nails to bang on. One, a report by a group of socialists who give ratings on health care systems that most, if not all, have never actually used or been treated by. Ratings which value how socialized the system is, over it's actual effectiveness or the opinions of those who have had to use it.

And Andy's right! Those commie pinko socialists all hate the US and it's all a conspiracy to lie and say that the US system which is the bestest in the whole wide world, is no good. They lie and say that the US system costs more per capita than all the other first world systems and they even say the US system is #37 right down there one better (or is that worse) than Cuba!

Cuba!!!! What a commie pinko socialist dirty little lie that is!

Cuba... what a great nation. they have a motto like America has love it or leave it.

Cuba has

Love it or get shot in the back trying to escape to America

The health care there is so good, they die trying to get to the states.

How many die trying to get to good old canada..... try ZERO

Try 90 miles away vs, how many? 3,000? Of course, they are trying to get to the USA. Many of them have relatives here, and they know that they live in a pathetic third world country run by an absolute dictator. Why wouldn't they try to get here if they can?

Do they really try to come to the US for health care? Now, that's a stretch. We're only two steps above that pathetic, socialistic, dictator run, third world country in the area of health care. (Cuba is #39, we're #37).

The US can and certainly should do better than being just ahead of the likes of Cuba, for heaven's sake!

Here's an interesting little side note: My wife just went to the doctor. She is a person who can get anyone to talk about whatever, and engaged the doctor in conversation about his own health and health care situation. She found out that he, a licensed physician no less, can not get health care coverage at any price. The reason is that he used to be grossly overweight, and had diabetes. He has lost the weight by diet and exercise (which is the only way, BTW), but still is not eligible for health coverage on his own. He is covered under his wife's employer, but, should she change jobs, he would lose health care coverage entirely.

There is something drastically wrong with a system in which not even the physician is covered by health insurance, don't you think?

You must be right. I saw one of the ladies who Michael Moore forced to go to Cuba with him crying because the Cuban doctors gave her mdication for 6 months which cost them about $1.50 and she had to pay hundreds of dollars for in the US. She knew it had to be placebos or bad drugs because nobody could get her kind of medication that cheap!!

Commie pinko socialist mecical plot!

Suggesting even a doctor can't get healthcare insurance!

Hahahahahahaha!

Wow, back to a different subject on the oil thread again eh?

With all the talk of nuclear, it's important to revist just how nuclear energy is produced:

Think: STEAM

Complete with RADIATION and TERRORIST TARGET-POTENTIAL..

Now let's look again at geothermal and how it's energy is produced.

Think: STEAM

The question is: which one do you want in your backyard?

That steam picture you keep posting is far more important than healthcare insurance dear. Steam can be your friend! And if it's superheated to 400 psi it can even drive turbines!

We can set up Nuclear power ANYWHERE, Geo is limited - very limited - and its already being pursued to its fullest extent. I really don't understand why you insist on beating a dead horse.

And Andy's right!

Yes I am. And you have been, and are still, wrong.

US system which is the bestest in the whole wide world.

Didn't say that. Red herring. Another sign of a failed argument.

They lie and say that the US system costs more per capita than all the other first world systems and they even say the US system is #37 right down there one better (or is that worse) than Cuba!

Cuba!!!! What a commie pinko socialist dirty little lie that is!

People are willing to die to escape Cuba. Another false argument. I can't find many ex-cubans who say cheap health care is worth trying to swim back to the US. Make that... ANY.

Of course nothing here answered the points I made, and thus proves your argument fails.

Irrelevant to the point that Cubans are willing to die to escape Cuba. Subsidizing medication with insane taxes on the back of poor cuban workers who are willing to die to escape the tyranny of a socialist government... it not a good argument.

Yes, geothermal is limited to places where there is heat near the surface of the Earth. If you live in Iceland, then geothermal makes a lot of sense.

Of course, there are some places where geothermal plants could be built in the US, and probably will be if the price of oil continues to stay high.

Nuclear plants can't be built just anywhere, either, as they require a steady and dependible supply of cool water. Of course, there are many places where nuclear plants could be built, but aren't, largely because someone is already living there and has heard of Three Mile Island. They don't seem to have heard just how many nuclear subs there are, and that there never seems to have been a problem with them.

Somehow, I don't see a nuclear plant in the Sonoran desert, but a solar plant might fare well there. By the same token, a solar plant in Seattle might be a poor idea.

We need to exploit what nature gave us, wherever nature gave it to us.

No, we don't sugar coat the problems with our system, unlike some others. I never said our system was perfect. But we do see which is better. This doctor can pay for health care himself, or through his wife's insurance. Both even.

Unlike your system where there are no options, and you could end up dying unless they send you to the U.S.

Again, the option is a can be motivated by greed and refuse to pay for health service and end up nearly dying at the hands of your socialist system... or I can live, and either get insurance or pay for it directly. I'd rather be health and pay, than sick but greedy.

You know I agree with that... Nuclear and Fossil Fuels can supplement energy to the areas not blessed with the renewable resources you're talking about. Taking them off the table leaves people quite literally, out in the cold.

Of course you're right again Andy and it's just a commie plot by the WHO to make your country look bad.

The nuclear power plant. Next question.
