Soak the rich is exactly what Obama and his disciples intend to do. Once they have completely bankrupted the nation with their foolish deficit spending, they will then say they have no choice but to confiscate EVERYONE's wealth. Their definition of rich will ultimately be ANYONE with a positive net worth.

sounds like you take issue with them having become wealthy. perhaps you might consider appreciating that they pick up the tab for so many that do not.

My Proposal is this. Anybody who earns $25,000 or less pay NO TAXES. If you make Between $25001 -$49,999. you pay 15% .. $50,000-$99,999 you pay 25% $100,000-$499,999 you pay 35% $500,000 - $999,999. you pay 45% $1,000,000 and over you pay 65% Thats fair!

Maybe I should send them all a thank you note.

Concentrating that much wealth on a few is turning this country into a plutocracy. Wealth buys power. I'm concerned with their power and how they are using it more than their wealth.

I agree with you......Lagnutz, but your solution is MORE centralize government control, which is exactly the opposite of the right thing to do.

Why do we have this concentration of wealth and power? Do you know why my nutty friend? It is because government is too big, too powerful and is concentrated in the hands of a few elites. These elites, who believe they know everything and we are dumb, have chosen to ignore the rule of law and no one is stopping them. A good example of this is what happen in 2008. The Big Banks and Wall Street collude to tank the economy and no one goes to jail....in fact, they get bailed out by the American tax payer and get HUGE pay raises...and your Messiah approves.

And you think raising taxes on the wealthy will help. It will not.

Lagnutz .... I like that. It makes my Lagboltz feel complete.

Have you have been watching too much Rachael Maddow. Just because I'm liberal doesn't mean Obama is my hero. He is as much a part of the Plutocracy as anyone. I agree with you on Wall Street.

As far as the wealthy, I would like to emasculate them by stealing their money with higher taxes to pay down the debt ... but not expand government. I agree it's bloated. There are ways to reduce medical costs. Simply creating malpractice ceilings and forced arbitration will lower hospital costs, and a side effect will have drs. stop covering their asses with unnecessary expensive tests. Hulk Hogan is suing his doctor for $50,000,000 in lost opportunities for not fixing his spine.

everyone pays 20% is fair. some paying more or less is patently unfair. what you suggest is mob rule. did you notice Tina Turner abandoned her us citizenship to move to switzerland ? and shes not particularly rich.

there is nothing to be gained and much to be list cutting off your hand to spite your thumb.

Last year, maybe two years ago, I did the math... If we took ALL the wealth of the entire nation and divided it equally, each American would have about $136,000. Of course the economy would collapse but hey - Forward!
